NZAMT Forums

Background Document

The first stage in what we indicated as an iterative process of consultation is now over.

We welcome your comments and suggestions throughout this Alignment process so that we end up with a product that all teachers have had the opportunity to participate in and on as it develops.

To view the powerpoint used in the recent forums (click here) and to download the feedback forms (click here)

The critical issues we are lookng for comments on relate to which aspects of level 1 should be externally assessed and what level of technology should be allowed in the externals.

To have your say you can either send the completed forms to:

YENKA HOME-USE OFFER
Written by Administrator
Tuesday, 26 August 2008

To help spread the word about Yenka we're offering free home-use licences for students and teaching staff at recognised schools, colleges and universities, covering all of our Yenka products for maths and technology (Windows and Mac).

There's no need to purchase anything and it's not time-limited.

What is Yenka?

Yenka is a new range of modelling tools for schools, which let teachers and students simulate concepts and create content easily.

For Design and Technology we have developed Yenka Electronics, Yenka PCBs, Yenka PICs and Yenka Gears. For Mathematics we have recently released Yenka 3D Shapes and Yenka Statistics. More information about these products can be found at:

www.yenka.com/Yenka/Yenka_Products/

How to get the free home-use...

To request a home licence, a full-time member of the teaching staff simply needs to register on our website: www.yenka.com/home

The teacher will receive two activation keys:

  • One for teachers of the specific school.
  • Another for students of the same school.

With the free home licence teachers and students can only use the Yenka software for evaluation or for learning. This licence cannot be used at school or at home for teaching, preparing lessons or for commercial purposes.

More information about our Yenka products and our home-use offer can be found on our website: www.yenka.com
