Barn Dance

On Wednesday night there will be a Barn Dance. This will build on the Bill Baritompa's workshop earlier in the day "The Dance of Mathematics." Bill describes himself as a part time lecturer, mathematical clown, banjo player and dance caller. He has been involved in a Royal Society funded, "Dance of Mathematics" project. This has involved Bill running a Barn Dance in a local community and then explaining the mathematical links in square dancing. Lots of fun, interaction and a chance for a community to see mathematicians as real people, doing interesting things.
The conference Barn Dance will run from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday 28th September. There will be a light supper provided along with tea, coffee and juice.
There is no cost for conference delegates, however tickets will be limited to 150, and these will be available at the registration desk.
