CV of Anthony Harradine
Anthony is presently Director of the Noel Baker Centre for School Mathematics and Head of Mathematics at Prince Alfred College. He has taught in schools for the last 20 years.
Since 1990 Anthony has been actively involved in the process of integrating the use of electronic technology into the teaching, learning and doing of mathematics. He has established computer rooms at both Blackfriars Priory School and Prince Alfred College that are used exclusively in the teaching, learning and doing of mathematics.
Anthony has been consistently involved with the delivery of Professional Development initiatives through the Mathematical Association of South Australia and the Baker Centre.
He has a passion for mathematics, mathematics education and the professional development of mathematics teachers.
One of his sessions is as follows;
SeniorSchoolCensus - Online is a project that has been run in South Australia this year. Over 21,000 students responded to a survey designed by students for students. In this session you will learn about the project itself and the globally learning resource that has materialised as a result.that will allow you to use real data that is in the zone of the students in your care. The Casio 9850GB Plus will be used to analyse some of the data.
A similar project is being run later this year in NZ. Come and see where this project has gone and you will certainly want your students involved in the NZ student census.
